A quilt for mom

Sorry its been quiet around here this past week. My brain is on overload with getting my shop up and running, and I haven't even felt like sewing, unfortunately. Last night I got to pick up my mom's quilt from the longarmer, and it looks amazing :) I think she'll be really happy with it. Here's a few pictures:

Sorry about the dark pics. My husband's gone this weekend on a motorcycle trip and he took the camera. I really love the way the quilting turned out. I had an image in my mind and my longarmer did an awesome job bringing it to life!

I'm waiting to hear back from my mom on her binding preference. I hope she actually plans to enjoy this quilt, rather than fold it up and put it where no one can touch it. She always cringes when she sees my girls dragging their quilts around the house. She says "They're like art! You put so much time and effort into making these beautiful quilts, and then I find them crumpled up on the living room floor!" Well, mom, I appreciate the compliment, but I make quilts to see them be used and loved and enjoyed :)

On an unrelated note, my Spring Quilt Market orders are starting to arrive!! *squeeeel!* I've got my first little slice of 'inventory' :)
Now that the bolts of fabric are accumulating, I need a shelving system dedicated to housing it. Looks like I'll be heading to Target on Monday!!

I hope you all are having a stellar week!
